Grannie’s Cottage is located in the townland of Lemacrossan on the hillside above Quigley’s Point on the eastern side of the Inishowen Peninsula. This newly renovated country cottage is ideally located as a touring base and the Historic Walled City of Derry is accessible within 15 mins by car. The ferry port of Greencastle, a little further along the coast, has a regular crossing to Magilligan allowing an easy onward journey to the Giant’s Causeway.

Grannie’s Cottage is a short drive away from the marvellous trout fishing at the Pollan Dam and for hill walkers there is a wide variety of mountainside and rural trails to choose from. A new ferry service has recently been introduced across Lough Swilly from Buncrana to Rathmullan opening up new possibilities for those who wish to explore further west into Donegal.
Quigley’s Point is located on the eastern shores of Inishowen and overlooks the wide expanse of Lough Foyle. To the south is the historic city of Derry and to the north lie the villages of Moville and Greencastle. A car ferry links Greencastle with Magilligan and from there it’s only a short drive to the Giant’s Causeway.
